Frank Rogers Building Contractors Partners with Liverpool John Moores University to Connect Aspiring Building Professionals with Real-World Experience

This two-day event is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the next generation of building professionals by bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world construction practices.

Lewis Culshaw, FRBC’s Contracts Manager and LJMU alumnus, led the students on a comprehensive tour of the site, which is currently undergoing traditional load-bearing construction work. As part of their Housing module, the students gained practical insight into the complexities of a super-structure's design, construction, and on-site management.

Dean Rogers, Managing Director, spoke highly of the initiative, stating: "This partnership with LJMU reflects our deep belief in education and the importance of hands-on learning. Watching these students engage with our projects, ask insightful questions, and connect classroom theory with real-world construction has been truly inspiring. We are proud to be part of shaping the future of the industry by giving these students the opportunity to gain experience and confidence on a live site."

The collaboration marks a significant step in reinforcing FRBC’s commitment to supporting education, training, and the development of future industry professionals. By providing access to live construction projects, we aim to equip students with practical skills and the confidence needed to excel in their future careers.

The visit was an overwhelming success, with students actively participating, asking questions, and gaining critical knowledge that will shape their professional understanding moving forward.
