Celebrating a Successful CPD Day on Passive Fire Protection

21/11/2024

We at Frank Rogers Building Contractors are delighted to share the highlights from our recent Continuing Professional Development (CPD) day, specifically organised for SIRCLE and focused on Passive Fire Protection. The event was hosted at our city centre office on Castor St, Liverpool, and featured a full day of insightful sessions led by industry experts, complete with hands-on demonstrations.

Event Breakdown:

  • Morning Session: The day kicked off with a warm welcome and a hearty breakfast, followed by an engaging introduction to firestopping techniques. This session included a quiz to test attendees' initial knowledge and set the tone for a day of interactive learning.
  • Midday Highlights: Participants took a deep dive into Rockwool literature, which provided a solid theoretical foundation. This was complemented by professional demonstrations of advanced firestopping solutions, offering practical insights into the latest techniques and materials.
  • Afternoon Activities: The focus intensified in the afternoon with a second round of firestopping practice. This hands-on experience was followed by in-depth discussions and a detailed demonstration on fire door installations, emphasizing the latest specifications and safety standards.

Special Focus on Fire Doors:
Our session on fire doors was a key feature of the day, highlighting the critical importance of these elements in building safety. These doors are engineered to the highest standards to ensure functionality and compliance with the latest fire safety regulations, making them indispensable in modern construction.

Certification and Gratitude:
Each participant received a certificate of completion, marking their achievements and our commitment to ongoing education within the industry. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our knowledgeable team for facilitating the event and to all the attendees from SIRCLE for their enthusiastic participation.

As we look forward to hosting more sessions like this, our goal remains clear: to continually enhance our skills and deepen our knowledge in the critical area of fire safety, thereby contributing to safer building practices industry-wide.
